Crafting is a secondary profession that allows you to create items using various materials and supplies. Item crafting is subject to chance and can fail. The skill Luck and also leveling up the Crafting skill increases the chance of producing an item. Crafting is only available to Marines who have improved the skill Knowledge. Note that each time the skill Knowledge is increased by 1 level, 1 new item is added to the crafting menu that can be crafted (exceptions are level 5, 6 and 10); The Hero's Crafting level influences your efficiency in creating items from the menu.

from Bandages.

This talent also allows you add coal to an Iron Bar to acquire a Steel Bar.

and a Neutron Bomb.
